We are meant to be set apart from the way of the world, it doesnt mean we are better than it, it simply means that we have come to realise that we can no longer live without the help of our God, and we recognise that He is our King and our Lord and our Saviour, and therefore try and follow His ways. He will never forsake you or leave you.Īlso there are verses in the Bible that mention that if you are a friend of the world than you are not (basically the words are probably wrong) a friend of God. Unfortunately the Bible never promised that we would have a good life on earth… The Lord said that He would provide or NEEDS but He never said that He would make life easy if you trust in Him, infact he said that you would be persecuted. “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. It doesn’t say how He will meet our needs and I have found from experience the way He does it is often not what I expected. Notice the above verse says “ALL.” It doesn’t say “some” or “most,” but it says that He will meet all of our needs. “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” – Phil 4:19 ![]() We are just as safe putting our trust in Him when things are going great as when it looks like everything is falling apart around us. He is not surprised by the events and He is not unsure how He is going to take care of his children. I know some people whose lives have been dramatically affected by a financial crisis and the important thing to remember in the midst of the chaos is that God is in control. The more we soak up the truth of God’s Word, the more assured we become that He really is going to take care of us! So write down a few of these encouraging scriptures and keep your focus on them as they are the truth! According to the Word, this is how faith comes. I have found that the key is finding specific encouraging Bible verses and meditating on them. Thankfully we have the Bible as our ultimate source of encouragement!Įven in the midst of a financial crisis, we can remain hopeful and encouraged if we keep trusting in God. Everyone needs a bit of encouragement from time to time.
